Comox is home to four marinas which hold over 500 pleasure boats, a commercial fishing fleet, and two boat launches (Comox Marina and Point Holmes).
The marinas are protected by rock breakwaters which is protected by Goose Spit and extends out into Comox Harbour, providing one of the safest year-round harbours on Vancouver Island. The Comox Harbour is a great launching spot for excellent salmon fishing and marine wildlife viewing.
The Comox Marina offers a boat launch and is located right next to Marina Park with plenty of parking, washroom and changeroom facilities, and a splash park/play area for children. It's only a two-minute walk to reach shopping, services, pubs, restaurants, parks, a golf course, and more within downtown Comox.
Comox Valley Marine Search and Rescue
The Comox Valley Marine Search and Rescue Society and its dedicated group of volunteers support a vital role in the waters that surround the Town of Comox by providing marine rescue services and promoting public boating safety education and prevention 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round.
