Building File Request

To get started with Citywide, you will need to create an account using a valid email address.

1.  Go to the Citywide Portal at https://citywideportal.com.
2.  Click on “Signup” in the top right of the page.
3.  Provide your email address and create a password.
4.  Click ‘Signup’.
5.  Citywide will send an email to the address you have provided.
6.  Open the email and complete the registration.
7.  The next time you visit the site, login using your email and password.

1. Login to the Citywide Portal at https://citywideportal.com.
2.  The first time you log in, you will be prompted to complete your profile. Once your profile is completed, press ‘Update User” and return to the Home Page by clicking on ‘Home’ on the top left of the page.
3.  Click on ‘Other Permits/File Requests’.
4. Click ‘Start Application.’ If you have submitted other applications in the past, click ‘New Application’ in the top right of the page.
5. Choose ‘Town of Comox” then click apply.
6.  Add Application Name, e.g. John’s building file request, click next.
7.  Provide the Address of the property file you are requesting and click next at the bottom right of the page. If you are requesting property files for multiple addresses, add the additional addresses on the next page.
8.  Ensure contact information is correct. Add the owner’s contact information if the applicant is not the owner, click next.
9. Choose ‘Building File Request’ from the drop down, click next.
10.  Answer relevant Yes/No questions, click next.
11.  Add the Property Owner Consent form if the applicant is not the owner, click next.
12.  Review submission and click submit at the bottom right of the page.
