Notice of Public Hearing - Official Community Plan Bylaw
Notice is hereby given pursuant to section 466 of the Local Government Act that a
Public Hearing will be held for the proposed Official Community Plan Bylaw
No. 2054 on November 26, 2025 at 5pm at d’Esterre Centre, located at 1801
Beaufort Ave. At the Public Hearing all persons will be afforded a reasonable
opportunity to be heard before Council or to present written submissions.
All written submissions in advance of the Public Hearing must be addressed to Council
and can be emailed to council@comox.ca mailed to, or dropped off at Town Hall and
must be received no later than 12:00 pm on November 26, 2025.

About the Public Hearing Process
A Public Hearing is the final way for residents to present their views to Council on land use applications. Applications are made to change the Town's Official Community Plan or a zoning bylaw. All persons who consider their interests to be affected by the proposed bylaws shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard. Council is not there to discuss but simply listen to all points of view.
There are two ways to participate in the Public Hearing:
- Attend the Public Hearing in person at D'Esterre House, 1801 Beaufort Avenue.
- Submit written comments. Written submissions may be made to the Town of Comox by email or by mail to 1809 Beaufort Avenue, Comox, BC , V9M 1R9 Attention: Planning, or in person at the same address between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. Written submissions will not be considered after the close of the Public Hearing.
