The Town of Comox is pleased to announce that it has received $519,162 in funding from the Provincial Government of British Columbia through the Rural Economic Diversification and Infrastructure Program (REDIP). This investment will support important upgrades to the Town’s Marina, helping to drive economic development, expand tourism opportunities, and foster the growth of the marine industry over time.
Intended Outcomes of the Project:
- Support future planning, including potential discussions around floating commercial buildings for the marine industry.
- Additional boardwalk and docks.
- Realignment of moorage to support short- and long-term moorage needs.
- Reduce waitlist goals
- Create employment opportunities.
- Increase environmental oversight and monitoring.
