Longtime Comox resident, Jennifer Warnyca, recently donated the Remnants, a unique and informative artwork board created by Comox artist Terri Anderson, on behalf of her family. The piece was a gift to Jennifer, honouring her grandmother, Emily Fairbairn, who along with her husband Maurice Fairbairn, ran the historic Lorne Hotel in Comox from 1921 - 1959.

Remnants was crafted from the original foundation boards of the Lorne Hotel, salvaged after it was tragically lost to a fire in 2011.

Thank you, Jennifer and family, for sharing this artwork and history with the Town of Comox.
Be sure to stop by Town Hall to see this piece of Comox history and learn more about the Lorne Hotel and the amazing people behind it.
