Families are invited to a Family Day extravaganza at the Comox Community Centre on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. This free community event is packed with exciting activities for all ages, offering hours of fun, creativity and connection.
“Family Day is all about spending meaningful time together, and this event creates a fun, welcoming space for families to connect, be active, and try something new,” said Robyn Smalley, Recreation Programmer at the Comox Community Centre. “We’re excited to offer a mix of activities that encourage creativity, movement, and shared experiences for every generation.”
This year’s Family Day activities include free face painting, an inflatable obstacle course, open gym time, arts and crafts, board games, and story time for all ages. The Seniors’ Intergenerational Action Network will once again host the storytelling, creating a warm and engaging opportunity for generations to connect and share in the celebration.
Comox Fire Rescue will be onsite with a barbecue, serving hot dogs and offering families a chance to connect with local firefighters while enjoying the celebration.
In addition to the free activities, the Fitness Studio will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at regular admission rates.
Families are encouraged to bring friends and neighbours along for a day of fun and connection. Full event details and activity times are available at comox.ca/rec or by calling the Comox Community Centre at 250‑339‑2255.
