Downtown Comox has a new warm glow! The new downtown pop-up park is now beautifully lit thanks to the Comox BIA and the Town of Comox's lighting initiative. The lighting project that started last fall and has now been extended to the full length of the Harbour Greenway (Downtown Comox to Comox Marina Park) and the pop-up park space on Comox Avenue and Port Augusta. Improved marina-pedestrian connectivity was part of the Downtown Economic Development Strategy.

"The Comox BIA is thrilled to be able to collaborate with the Town in expanding the Lighting the Alleyways project to now include an additional pathway that connects to our amazing harbour and to illuminate and activate the old Lorne Hotel site into a welcoming public space in the heart of downtown," said Sharon Neville, Secretary, Comox BIA Board, "Projects like this play a vital role in enhancing our downtown into a vibrant, connected community, one that’s active, welcoming, and enjoyable all year round."
