The Town of Comox and the Filberg Heritage Lodge and Park Association have formed a collaborative partnership to create a vibrant arboretum at Filberg Park. This initiative combines the Town of Comox’s commitment to preserving local green spaces with the Association’s dedication to enhancing the community's cultural and environmental heritage. Together, they are working to develop an educational and ecological resource that showcases diverse plant species, encourages environmental stewardship, and provides a tranquil space for both locals and visitors to enjoy. The partnership reflects a shared vision of sustainability, community engagement, and preserving the beauty of Filberg Park for generations to come.
As part of this initiative, an up-to-date inventory of all the plants within the arboretum has been completed. This includes species, age (where possible), plant family and origin. Check out the mapping inventory below.
