“This recognition showcases the incredible passion, creativity and dedication to community building from our youth,” said the Town’s Mayor, Nicole Minions. “We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments – this is such a well-deserved award for this group of young leaders. I was so proud to hear the Comox Youth Council name announced at the recent Chamber awards.”

Through their hard work and collaboration, the Comox Youth Council has made a significant impact on the community. Their contributions range from planning and delivering the Halloween Haunted Hallway to family movie nights and participation in the Comox Business in Action Summer Fest; they all foster a stronger, more engaged community. Their next upcoming event is the Comox Youth Art & Media Exhibit, which will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, with art displayed at the Comox Community Centre for an entire month.

Comox Youth Council members shared: “Being part of the Comox Youth Council is an amazing and memorable opportunity. It is a safe and fun place to meet other youth with similar goals and passions. We’ve learned so much from each other by planning events and experiences our community appreciates and supports.”
