The Comox Community Centre staff are gearing up to celebrate Move for Health Day on Friday, May 10, with some complimentary try-it classes both at the Centre and Filberg Park. The community is encouraged to share their personal health routines leading up to the event for a chance to win exciting prizes.
Visit the Comox Community Centre to contribute to a motivational board by pinning notes showcasing your favourite activities and daily rituals that promote movement and overall wellness. Entries on the board will automatically be entered into a draw for various “keep active” prizes.

Move for Health Day is an international event created in 2002 by the World Health Organization to promote physical activity. At the Comox Community Centre, we celebrate how the movement supports living happy and healthy lives. Physical activity and exercise can look different for everyone, and there are so many ways to move. No matter what it looks like for you, physical activity can help improve mental health, prevent chronic disease, and boost energy levels.
