Advance Voter Registration

A municipal election for the Town of Comox will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Before you can vote in the Town of Comox municipal election, you must be registered to vote.

The Town of Comox will be using the Provincial Voter’s List from Elections BC as the Town’s list of registered electors. If you are registered with Elections BC, you will automatically be placed on the Town Voter’s List. To confirm your voter registration information on the Provincial Voter’s List, or to add or update your registration information, visit Elections BC and select “REGISTER TO VOTE” or call 1 (800) 661-8683. After August 15, if you are not on the Provincial Voter’s List and want to be listed on the Town Voter’s List, you must submit your application to register with the Town of Comox.

Notices will be advertised in the newspaper advising the public of the deadlines for voter registration and nominations, as well as dates, times and locations of all voting opportunities.

Mail Ballot Voting

For this municipal election, ALL eligible electors have the opportunity to cast their vote by mail ballot. Requests for a mail ballot voting package can be made at Town Hall no later than 4:00 p.m. October 13, 2022, or at a voting location on voting days. Mail ballot voting packages can be requested by contacting Comox Town Hall at 250.339.2202.

Persons wishing to vote by mail must be registered to vote before submitting an application to vote by mail. Please ensure you are registered to vote prior to 4:30 pm on August 23,2022 if you wish to apply to vote by mail.
