Snow Angels Program

Snow Angels Pilot Program 

The Snow Angels program attempts to match a Snow Angel with an address where the resident needs help clearing snow from the public sidewalks that are adjacent to their property. This program does not include private walkways or driveways. The program runs from November 1 through April 15 of the subsequent year. 

Become a Snow Angel

A Snow Angel clears snow from the public sidewalks adjacent to an assigned residential address by 10 a.m. on any day following a snowfall event during the snow season. Snow Angels requirements are:

  • A Town of Comox resident
  • Minimum 16 years of age or you must have an adult with you
  • In adequate physical shape and capable of clearing snow 
  • Comfortable working outdoors in cold and wet weather
  • Value respect and diversity

Request the help of a Snow Angel

To be eligible for the Snow Angels program, all the following criteria must be met:

  • A Town of Comox resident with a public sidewalk adjacent to your property.
  • 70 years of age or older with no individual resident to clear snow OR, under 70 years of age with a physical disability that does not allow the clearing of snow.
  • Unable to financially hire a contractor to clear snow.
  • Unable to find a neighbour or family member to clear snow.
