May 20th is World Bee Day!

Did you know that North America is home to 4000 native bee species?

Native bees are vital to a healthy ecosystem and are excellent pollinators for wild and cultivated crops.

You can encourage native bees to visit your garden by following a few easy steps:

  • planting native plants
  • avoiding the use of pesticides
  • leave your garden “messy” in the fall

To learn more, visit the Pollinator Partnership website - World Bee Day.

Thank you for doing your part in keeping our bee population safe and thriving!
