Public Notice
Date

Boaters and marina users are advised that temporary delays and intermittent closures may occur at the Comox Marina boat launch on June 23, 24, and 25 due to a project being undertaken by the Comox Bay Sailing Club to assemble and launch several new dock float sections.

During this work:

  • The loading zone and the three trailer parking stalls closest to the launch ramp will be used as a temporary assembly area.
  • Parking availability near the launch ramp will be reduced.
  • The boat launch ramp will be closed intermittently throughout the day for approximately 10–15 minutes at a time while assembled dock sections are launched into the water.
  • Between launches, the ramp will remain open for public use.

Boaters are encouraged to:

  • Allow extra time for launching and retrieving vessels.
  • Follow all posted signage and directions
  • Exercise caution around equipment and work areas.
  • Consider adjusting launch times to avoid peak periods where possible. Peak times are between 8 a.m. and 10 am and then again from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The Town and the Comox Bay Sailing Club are working to minimize disruptions and complete the project safely and efficiently. We appreciate the public's patience and cooperation during this temporary construction activity.
