After receiving a number of creative and thoughtful submissions, the Nautical Days Festival Committee has selected the winning design for our 2026 Nautical Days T-Shirt Contest!
Congratulations to Lillian Sepulveda Navarro, whose artwork will become this year’s official Nautical Days Festival t-shirt design.
A huge thank you to everyone who submitted artwork. The quality of the entries made for a difficult decision, and we are incredibly grateful to all the artists who shared their creativity and community spirit with us.
Lily’s design beautifully captures the energy, character, and coastal charm that have made Nautical Days a beloved Comox tradition for nearly seven decades. Lily is a local illustrator in Comox with more than 10 years of experience. Drawing inspiration from her Mexican heritage and the beautiful Comox Valley, she creates bright and cheerful artwork that celebrates childhood and imagination. Her illustrations create welcoming, universal worlds that audiences of all ages can enjoy. She also enjoys illustrating wild animals and pets of all sizes, as well as doodling around town, connecting with people and capturing their stories through her work.
Watch for the shirts to become available in the coming weeks as we move into production. We can’t wait to see them out in the community and around the festival grounds this August!
