Residents are advised that construction of a community gateway area located at the corner of Comox Avenue and Glacier View Drive will begin on Monday, August 24, 2026. The contractor began mobilization the week of August 17.
The project involves constructing a concrete gateway landmark at the top of the hill, followed by boulevard restoration and landscaping as part of the Comox Avenue/Glacier View Drive roundabout design and beautification.
Work is anticipated to be substantially complete by Friday, October 2, 2026.
Residents can expect construction activity, equipment, and crews in the area throughout the project. There should be no impact on the flow of traffic at this time. If required, notifications will be sent out if there are any traffic impacts.
