Comox Mayor, Nicole Minions, officially proclaimed Métis Awareness Week in Comox - November 13 - 17. In recognition of the week, the Town of Comox will raise a Métis flag at Town Hall on November 14 (time to be announced). The week is devoted to remembering the sacrifices of the Métis who continue to strive towards rights and recognition as a distinct Nation.
